My horse was purchased off the track about 4 yrs ago. At that time he was 4 1/2 yrs. old. When I began to ride him, I and my trainer noticed a slight lameness in the right front. A vet in Leesburg diag. him with a torn suspensory. I put him on stall rest for about 6 months. He was then re-examined, was told he was 90% better (via ultrasound)and we could start him in light work. He never was any different. Still lame in the right front. I have had him nerve blocked, back has had acupuncture, chiropractic work several times. I also had a ultra sound done of his neck, slight arthistis was found - on a scale of 1 to 10 he was said to be a 3. We did inject the neck to make him more comfortable... but did not last and he is still lame. My questions is: Does anyone have any other recommendations as to what to do. He is serviceable sound. I can fox hunt him, go cross country, etc. He just is in pain. He turns his head alot, trys to stretch. I cannot get him into a frame of any kind. The only way to make him comfortable is to not have any connect on his mouth. I am at wits end, not sure to keep riding him, try to sell him for a trail horse, etc. Any thoughts???? Thank you in advance.

Hello Deborah,
Do the nerve blocks support the idea of suspensory disease? And what does the lameness look like when the horse is on lunge at a trot in a circle.
