Discussion on How much dewormer does it take to hurt your horse?

In the last three weeks my horse had one dose of ivermectin, one dose of Quest a week later, and a double dose of Strongid a week later. Under normal circumstances I would not have given him so much so soon (the background is a long story in and of itself). Some people told me that I might have overdosed my horse, which would be toxic to his liver and potentially fatal. I recall my vet telling me that it's actually fairly difficult to overdose a horse with wormer. What is the likelihood that I have damaged my horse in any way with the above wormings? He is showing no signs of ill effects.

That's what I thought, thank you for reassuring me on that!
Followup question: When you give a horse a dewormer for a known infestation (not just preventative), how long should the horse be kept out of the group pastures? How long until he's free and clear and no longer a risk to other horses?

2 weeks should be enough.
