Discussion on Sheath and Udder Cleaning
Author Message

Next time you head out to the barn to clean your horses sheath of udders, grab some of those unmatched socks out of your laundry basket. A sock fits perfectly over your hand, and stays on tight while you clean your horse. You don't have any stray threads to worry about like you would with an old rag. A sock is thin enough so you can do a good job cleaning, and when you are done you can just throw it out.

Excellent idea, Andrea

I have an ample supply of socks (my boys wear just the right size for a perfect "hand fit") and they don't last too long since they're a favorite of the dog!

They are excellent for using around the face, eyes and ears, too. I use them mostly for applying fly spray to the face and ears. After about a week, I just toss it in the trash.
