Hi all: have any of you ever used non-slip paint-on coating, or stick-on tape for barn floors?

The aisle in the barn where I board my horse is made of cement, which has become very slippery. Rather than putting in rubber matting (expensive and inconvenient to clean underneath) I was wondering if any of you have had good experiences with non-slip products that you either paint on, or stick on in strips (bit like the velcro tape on the edge of supermarket stairs)?

It would have to be quite durable of course, fireproof and non-toxic.

Would love to hear any ideas!

I saw a great product at Scottsdale show which was a spray on polyurathane with sand (?) in it which gave a rough, non-slip texture. In stalls it was applied over a very thick carpet pad and made a great flooring.

I found the name of the stuff I saw in Scottsdale. It's put out by: Arizona Specialty Coatings LLC. They are the ones that came up with the idea and will travel all over to put the stuff in. www.azpolyurea.com
Rob Shepler is the man's name. rob@azpolyurea.com I have no idea regarding price. The stuff had tons of uses besides floors. You can even coat fences with it. It comes in several colors.
