I've read the articles and done a search on primary teeth but haven't seen quite this question; our new gelding has just the tips of new incisors coming through the gums inside the primaries. Do the baby teeth then get pushed out? I know with small dogs especially you have to watch that the primaries don't stay and the puppies wind up with two rows of teeth. The vet is coming out next week for Coggins & shots and I'll ask, but of course I'll wonder until then!
Never dealt with a youngster before so I have all sorts of questions these days.
We had his wolf teeth out last month and his mouth checked by an equine dentist so maybe this is normal.....
Thanks

It is not uncommon for the baby teeth to hang on a little longer and have the adults come in around them. Occasionally I have to wiggle a baby tooth out but usually they fall out on their own.
