DrO, I am feeding a vit/min supplement with a Calcium .1.39%
Phosphorus .37%
to this I need to add something for palatabilty.(no grains etc.)
I would like to add small amount of dried beet pulp. maybe a half or full cup. Will this much beet pulp mess up my calcium/phosphorus ratio?
I read the article but dont understand the math/%
PS> She also gets free choice bermuda and a trace mineral lick. Thanks ahead of time.
Sincerly

Hello Leslie,
Without knowing the amount fed daily of all the feed items and the percent Ca/Phos of each we cannot know if you Ca/Phos amounts and ratios are correct. This information is available on the bags of prepared feeds and in the articles on forages and grains. Come on now leslie, with this information in hand tell me how you would figure the percentage of calcium and phosphorous in the diet. Hint: with the above information how do you figure the total amount of calcium in the diet by weight.
