i hope that i am not repeating a question here... in the past i have wormed using a ivermectin every 6-8 weeks on my horses and twice a year i would dbl dose them with a praziquantel ...

so now with the new combined products on the markets .. would that be enough of the praziquantel to get rid of the tapes etc. if used in the combo form only twice a year..???

or is it meant to be used on every worming day..

thanks for any heads up on this..

Ann aloha,

My vet told me to use the ivermectin with the "Aztec god" drug 2x a year.

Hello Ann and Leilani,
We have our recommendations on the frequency of use of the new combination products in Care for Horses » Deworming and Parasite Control » Deworming Schedules. We cover the efficacy in both the Overview of Deworming and in the medications section where we have a whole article on praziquantel.
