Dr O,
My vet just told me about Calvenza, a flu/rhino immunization that lasts 12 months that is new in Canada.

Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks,
Cheryl

Hello Cheryl,
It depends on what you mean by protection Cheryl. In a recent study horses 3 months post-Calvenza vaccination still became sick but were much less sick than the controls and comparable, maybe slightly better, than the other vaccines studied. This vaccine does not change the recommendations in our article on vaccines and vaccine schedules.
