Dear All,

There is not a lot to add to DrO.'s information, but I found it helpful...so thought I'd post.

Tonya, I noticed your quote. Years ago, I came across a quote so beautiful that I put it in calligraphy together with some intense close-ups of my own horses and gave it to my sister as a birthday present...it made her cry. Perhaps the author is not unknown...see what you think:

A large and liquid eye,
The swirl of dust around pounding hooves

These then, are the images that move us.

You cannot remain unmoved by the gentleness and conformation of a well-bred and well trained horse...
more than a thousand pounds of big-boned, well-muscled animal,
yet forever a menace with its innocent power...

But when it greets you with a nicker and regards you with a large and liquid eye,

the question of where you want to be has been
answered.

The quote was attributed to: Albert Borgmann from his book "Crossing the Postmodern Divide".

Amazing arrangement of words....

Dear Lee,

What a precious gift to give to your sister! You obviously gave something that was very dear to your heart to your sister. I can certainly understand why she cried.

The beautiful quote...I found on a horse lovers website, and saved it. It does seem to be part of Albert Borgmann's writings.

Thank you for letting me know, I appreciate your thoughtfulness.

My Best to You,
Tonya
