I just recently joined this site, and I have to start by saying it has been very helpful already reading all the posts. I have a colt who will be a year old on Monday. He is part Paso Fino and part Welsh pony and will definitely be gelded - partly because he will never be bred and partly because I don't want to have to separate him from the herd he lives with. His testicles have not fully descended although both can be felt with palpitation. I am trying to decide whether to go ahead and have him gelded now or wait and see if they come on down. Does anyone have any experience with them descending this late?

Hello Gwen if the can be palpated there is no need to wait, they can be removed easily if they can be felt no matter how high.

DrO,

Thanks for the quick response. I will get him scheduled soon in that case.
