Hi Guys
Im going to look at some wheat hay in the morning... How do you tell what stage it has been cut? Ive never seen wheat hay, before is it green in color or resemble straw?
I have read conflicting reports...one says its good if cut before dough stage(geez, what does that look like??) or the other say good at soft dough stage....hmmm can you squeeze the seeds and squish out dough?
Just wondering if anyone has seen this?

The wheat hay seed heads had 'beards' on it so I decided against getting it because I didnt know if the beards would get stuck in a horses throat.
