I used mine as a moveable pen at different times for horses that I wanted to get out into the sun, but couldn't turn out in the fields due to injury. My only concern is that the panels are very light weight, and I'm not sure I'd trust a young or "spooky" horse in them for long without being very close by. I'm afraid a horse could knock them over and escape if they really wanted to.When I set the corral up, however, it wasn't attached to anything. I think attachng to a trailer would help stablize it a lot. Also, if used camping etc. I think attaching the corners to stakes or heavy tent poles that are hammered into the ground would help. Mine didn't come with enough velcro wraps, imo, and I added more so I have 2 at each end where the panels latch together. The panels are very light and easy to set up and move around, which for my usage was a plus, and my well trained older girls did fine in them for an afternoon at a time. |

It is a battery operated electric portable paddock. I have used it in a number of configurations as it does not have to be in a square or a circle to work. I have used it to cut a paddock in half and as a stand alone round pen and as a stand alone square pen. It can also be used if you already have an electric fence set up with the use of a jumper wire. It is quick to set up and quick to take down and you can buy extra braided rope to make the paddock bigger if needed. Not that I'd recommend this, but I have left horses out in it overnight and did not have a problem. Once they realize the fence is electrified they pretty much stay away from it. Rachelle |
