Dr.O. A friends horse is arriving here Sat. and will be staying for awhile. I don't think he has been de-wormed for awhile due to the owners medical problems. I am going to de-worm him soon as he gets here, he will not be going on pasture right away. How long before I could I assume it would be safe to turn him out in the horses pasture and not contaminate it? I know fecals would be best, but that isn't going to happen I don't think.

Thanks

Assuming the use of a avermectin in combination with praziquantel I would think two weeks would be safe assuming there are no resistant worms.
