I understand Ft Dodge now has a vaccine for EPM or Equine Protozoel Myelitis..

I had a mare diagnosed and treated for Botulism last winter and when she did not improve a second Vet diagnosed and treated her for EPM. That treatment completed this week and the mare is much improved..

I'd like to be able to vaccinate everything I have for EPM but am not sure if it's OK for in-foal mares, open mares, yearlings and weanlings

Welcome JR,
I went looking for the most current information on the vaccine but the acquisition of Fort Dodge by Pfizer and Pfizer's ongoing divestiture of some of the FD products to other drug companies has made it near impossible to come to any real conclusions on the vaccines status. I would note that the FD site no longer lists the EPM vaccine among its equine biologicals.

At last look there were no label recommendations for pregnant mares. For more on this see HorseAdvice.com » Diseases of Horses » Nervous System » Incoordination, Weakness, Spasticity, Tremors » EPM, Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis. If I find any more information on this vaccines status I will post it there.
