I'll admit I am cheap and can not bring myself to spend over $100 for a hoof jack or something similar. I really do need something tho, have been looking at home made hoof stands, I tell ya people are inventive!!! Since it's crappy out today I was looking around and found this at Valley Vet, they seem to be the only ones that carry it. It is in a price range I could afford, what do you think???

It don't look too bad. You don't have any hard to handle at trimming time horses, so I bet it would work for you. I absolutely love my Hoof-It, it's been sent sailing a few times when Tango spooked and it seems to be instructable...so far.

Did you ever try to copy my first hoof stand? The 6 x 6 post on a 1 foot square base? Even cheaper, lol! Still had to use my knees a bit though.

Just think, you've moved up to big girl rasp now, right? And now a hoof stand?? Way to go!!

Diane, I bought a jack at tractor supply for $10 and mounted on a piece of scrap metal! I cut open a tennis balland put it over the metal top and wrapped it with duct tape, its not pretty but it works great!
