Hi. Recently, I saw horses housed in a hoop building with a polyethylene covering. The owners kept it open-ended in summer for better ventilation and fly control. In winter, they stop up one end for cold-weather protection. A horse kick has little impact on the covering. We are looking to move soon, and thought this might be something worth trying for our three critters. Does anyone have any insight or experiences to share?

We use a similar type structure to park our motorhome under. We bought it through Farmtek. We've had it for I'm guessing eight years and now need to replace the cover and tighten bolts on the structure. We live in an area of strong sun and high winds and the combo and caused damage over the eight years. The frame is still good, just needs tightening, and I don't think the cover will cost too much to replace. I don't know if CoverAll makes this type of structure; if they do their products are guaranteed for either 10 or 20 yrs. I think it's 20, but not sure.
