She is 7. I never measured her to begin with 2 years ago when I got her, that just wasn't important to me, but I swear she is taller. Looks taller, feels taller. She had a long back compared to her legs, but now she seems more proportionate. She appears taller than my thoroughbreds now too....Is that possible? She is a Quarter Horse Paint....

If you ride her/work her more now than what she was getting before you bought her, she may have muscled up which would make her appear more proportionate. Having good muscling, esp. over the top line, really changes a horses appearence.

Ditto to what Sara said. And yes, it is possible for your mare to be taller than her TB barn mates. We have a 2 yo QH filly at the barn who is at least 16HH. My guess is that by the time she fully matures, she'll be at least 16.2HH, making her taller than the TB mare there and taller than my warmblood.
