Does a miniature horse get the same vaccination dosage as a regular size horse? I have always vaccinated my own horses, but this is my first time with a miniature horse. Thanks!

I also have a miniature horse, and vaccinate myself against flu [bi-annually], tetanus and african horse sickness [annually]. With these particular vaccines, the miniature gets the same dose as the big horses.

However, in other countries, other types of vaccinations are used, so perhaps doses vary per size of horse. I'm sure Dr. O will help you there.
Cheers.

Hello Chrisitne,
As far as we know they get the same dose though I know of no studies testing this question.

Thank you for the information. I didn't "think" there would be any difference, but better to ask than guess and be wrong!
