Greetings,
Do you recommend a Phosphorous supplement like
Monosodium Phosphate for a 3yo wormblood gelding whom is on a diet of approximately 50/50 Alfa Alfa and Timothy? He also take about 2kg of low starch feed (hygain showtorque) which has about 2:1 Ca/Ph
Also, what would be the appropriate amount to supplement?

Hello Nader,
Without knowing the content of your foodstuffs I cannot say what would be appropriate. However with average content a 50 50 mixture of alfalfa and grass hay should provide both adequate amounts and a suitable ratio of calcium and phosphorous. The article HorseAdvice.com » Horse Care » Equine Nutrition, Horse Feeds, Feeding » Equine Nutrition an Overview of Feeding Horses has more on balancing diets.
