can anyone tell me if vit. c causes ulcers in horses...i have been recommended to give it to my mare that has been developing bladder stones...any other help with the proper nutrition would be so appreciated also..thanks so much

There is no work on this question Sandy. As long as fed with meals and the horse managed in a low ulcergenic environment, I don't think this will be a problem. For our recommendations on generally good nutrition, see the Overview of Nutrition article. For specific nutritional help can you tell me what the stones are composed of and why does your vet (or you) think your horse develops them?
