Author Message

Posted on Monday, Jun 5, 2000 - 12:14 pm:

When moving a horse from pasture board where the pasture is very lush to stall board with just ok patures, what steps do I need to take to slowly acclamate him to other feeds and how do I determine what type/how much to feed? He is a 5yr old Saddlebred. I don't expect him to grow anymore (at 17hh I hope not!!) so how much protien should the feed have. Also, he will have all the hay he will eat. Supplements needed??
Thanks in advance for the help.
