I was told by a Dutch horsebreeder that female pig's manure is superb fertiliser for horse pastures.
Any thoughts?

As a lot of pigs [especially in Holland] get lots of Regumate to get their cycles in line I wouldn't use it. However in Holland you get paid if they can use your land to put the manure on,which is why it is used a lot.

Thanks a lot, Jos.
I do not think Regumate is used much in our area and I only keep geldings for now, but the idea of not knowing what other medication and chemicals may end up in industrial manure is enough of a deterrent.
