Hi Christo,

I wonder if you know whether Greece in general is deficient/high in selenium? I realise that levels can vary from area to area, but it does also seem whole countries can on average have a lack/excess (i.e. the UK overall is deficient).

Just asking because I'm supplementing with Vit E & selenium at the moment, and no-one seems to know how much is likely to be in the hay and feed already.

Many thanks!

No, Lynn, Greece in general is not deficient in Selenium.

Some areas are low, like Macedonia, the area from Volos to Lamia and the Aegean Islands.

There's no area with toxic levels as far as I know.

Give me a couple of days and I'll let you know where to send hay and grain for analysis, it seems that some of the e-mail addresses and telephone numbers in my notebook are older than Parthenon.
