Discussion on Hoof Care in Dry Arizona
Author Message

I read Dr. O's article on general hoof care, in
which soaking racks are disfavored. My mare has
perpetually dry scaly hooves, and my farrier
suggested a hoof seal. He specified one with
sealing qualities, NOT moisturizing qualities.
Any other suggestions anyone can offer regarding hoof care for a horse in a rocky dry area would be
greatly appreciated.

Sounds like sound advice to me.
