Hi Dr. O.
I was wondering if you have an article that describes what different kinds of worms and pararsites look like? I have found some good sized white looking worms in my horses feces. I have her on a worming schedule. what kinds of worms are these? do you suggest a different kind of wormer medication? I usually use zimectrin every 2-3 months.

Yes we have pictures and descriptions of the intestinal worms of horses. Each worm has its own article and you will find them at Equine Diseases: Colic and GI Diseases: Parasites and Worms.

Without knowing what you are looking at I cannot evaluate your deworming program but the article on deworming horses (Care for Horses: Disease Prevention and Health Care: Deworming and Parasite Control) tells you how to do so. It also has recommended deworming programs for you to follow.
