Discussion on White blood count low....????

I just had my 11 year old thoroughbred gelding's blood checked - he has a somewhat low WBC (4.7), and low lymphocytes 1269 or 27%. . . . . .had blood checked due to low energy and behavioral problems. (Ear flattening, snapping with mouth, sensitivity to grooming, girthy, etc. . . .) Are these values low enough to be worried? What should I do as far as his nutrition? My vet is hard to get on the phone -- I just received these results with no explanation through the mail. What might these values indicate? Should I have further tests done??
