Thorughbred with what appears to be "water diabetes" or Extreme thirst and consequent urination. will drink something like 60 to 80 litres of water overnight and urinate profusely. Any help with diagnosis and treatment?

There are a number of possibilites and you need to start with a complete physical exam and blood work up looking for signs of: kidney disease including medullary wash out, equine cushinoid disease, or diabetes. That will find about 95% of the cases. Let us know what they find. DrO

HELLO, i HAVE A 4 YEAR OLD QH GELDING THAT I HAVE HAD FOR TWO YEARS. THIS HORSE CAN URINATE 4 TIMES IN 15 MINUTES. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME A LOGICAL GUESS OR OPINION. THE URINE IS ALWAY CLEAR AND HE DOESNT URINATE FOR A VERY LONG TIME. CAN THIS BE A SMALL BLADDER OR DIABETES. THANKYOU
