Stupid question I know but how do you tell if your pasture has fescue? Does anyone have a picture or a URL to a website that can help me identify it?

Thanks

Hello Imogen,
Go to:
» Care for Horses » Pastures: Pastures and Hay:
Photos of grasses and plants of interest to the horseman

Here you will be able to see photos of all stages of fescue. Without experience however picutres may make identification uncertain. Pay the most attention to the seed heads in the summer and double check with your extension service just to be sure.
