We have a pregnant mare-bred 4 27 03-She had her 1st WN shot 2 wks before she was bred and 2nd shot 2 wks after. I just read the disturbing article about the West Nile vaccine eyed in foal losses. Is there anything that can be done or is it a wait and see situation?

Marlene, I has two mares vacinnated April 2002 and both were then bred with followup booster three weeks later. Both mares also received a WNV vacinnation in March 2003. The foals are healthy. And we live in Colorado. Check them out: www.myarabians.com/angel.html and www.myarabians.com/zelia.html. George
