Dr. O i ran a search and could not find anything about this.. do you hve any info i could read..?

i have a 2 year old filly that was born with a soft, i call bulbous above her left nostril, it was tiny, no big deal, well as she matured it did too.. stayed soft, pillow like.. it does not effect her breathing or seem to bother her, its just down right ugly.. it was the size of a small hard ball, .. i tied her to a tree and she wiggled and smashed her head pretty darn good.. the next day the whole side of her face was swollen * now really ugly*.. i had the vet out to check her teeth and make sure she was going to be all right... my vet said with any luck maybe she 'busted her bulbous' as we could see a small starting of drainage, cold like..... well she had.. it started to drain more from the inside of her nose, a creamy white fluid.. i called my vet again and she suggested i agitate it to keep it draining i did...

two months later , it is coming back... again i called my vet she said if i want it gone to hve it surgically removed before it gets any bigger... well i don't want her under a general so i believe they are going to try to work on her standing up... * i hve to give this some thought before i do it...

i am thinking that it busted once.. won't it come back again..?

any info on such a thing would be helpful..

thanks as always Ann

Note: this discussion which consists of a novel treatment for nasal cysts and pictures of the recovery process, has been moved into the article on this subject. It is great reading!
