My 7mo. old Fresian cross has OCD, shows on the X-rays, needs surgery. How can you find out if there is a specialist in our area? You know like someone who is really good at them, helps even the worst cases come back, or even if one isn't in our area. Which is southern CAlif.
This poor little guy is hurting I only want to try and give him the best I can. I dont want him to hurt anymore.
Also have you heard of the supplement Rescue EQ, Its "suppose to be formulated for such cases?
I have scheduled surgery with the local "expert" but can't help wondering if there might be some one better.
Thank You for your time

Probably your best bet is checking with your regular vet or the closest University with a Veterinary School. That would be University of CA at Davis.

Thnk YOu Dr.O.,
I called and had the exrays checked by onr of ther surgens and another, both said to wait untill he is about 18 mos old an have him re-evaluated. but now he has been sound for a month, with out bute. I was wondering if it would be ok to turn him out in a small round pen, say 50ft? or sould i keep him stalled up still? He wants to play so bad. He really could use some training on manners, but the training methods I am use to require movement. So I am haveing trouble communticating with him.
I want to start out slow like 10min a day and work up, but am terrifeid of hurting him. CAn i do this with out hurting him if he contuneus to show no lameness? I wold be grateful for your advise on this manner.
thank You
Lora
