Dr O.
A horse at my barn, has just had another bout of severe swelling for the 4th year in a row. The whole back leg swells to at least double its size all the way to the hips, sometimes it goes to the second leg, usually high fever accomanies this. We were told its lymphoma ? But wernt told anything about cancer. This time it started as soon as she was put on grass in a different paddock. It happens every summer around this time. It takes at least 2 months before it goes away.
We know that its something that happens at this time of year, maybe grass or a particlur weed . I have read the articles but we were not told about anything cancerous. What could cause this severe swelling/ Our vets stumped she just says not again.
Thanks Katrina
