We farm 80 acres of our farm in Timothy hay which I feed my horses. I have broodmares and am VERY selective on what they eat. No Fescue etc. I just noticed on our hay, which we have not cut yet, that there are caterpillars on the heads of the Timothy. I am concerned about MRLS. Do you know what the quantities are which they have to ingest before I should be concerned? If there are several in the hay each feeding should I be concerned?

I’ve seen the reposts but still don’t feel satisfied with exactly what it takes to loose a foal. I also understand that they don't know exactly either but should I be concerned for such a minor amount?

Thank you,
Denise
