dr o my horse has a shin splint on each front leg half way up the cannon bone i was interested if you could tell me a reliable way of removing them . there is no heat nor lameness and still in full work . regards greg [aust]

gday dr o sorry took so long to get back ,the plints have been there for aproxamatley three weeks ,is there any magic potion i can use and get in aust regards greg

Yes we have the magic potion Greg and that magic is time. There are a few other recommendations in the article on Splints that may help decrease the final size and advice on how to monitor the splint but most important for you to understand is that rest is the only magic here.
