Hi Doc,
I was wondering if there are any long term effects on a foal born with NI? Should there be any long term follow up? Can they be bred? Should one expect any significant health problems as the horse matures? Thanks, Robin

No, there are no long term effects as long as the anemia did not get so severe as to cause neurological damage. Remeber, it is the foal's mare's antibodies that caused the problem.
