Posted on Sunday, Mar 30, 2008 - 11:25 pm: continuation of this thread...Well I brought Danni home from 5 months at a rehab barn.. She was put on the Euro-cisor twice a day.. AM 15 mins walk 20+ mins trot 15 walk.. then put out in a 12X36 paddock for the day.. PM 10 mins walk 10 mins trot 10 mins walk and back in her stall.. Of course this was all built up from my 70 mins a day of hand walking .. Was not able to get her in for an ultrasound till next weekend.. Thus far on the mill she is walking out sound and trot looks great.. slightly irregular,, all tho landing solid on the bad leg pushing off well, over tracking.. but something is just NQR.. i almost think its her good side that is NQR? Time will tell as i will be getting her under saddle this next month.. SLOWLY and carefully .. she is the sassy one!~ On that Sa$$y note.. she has been a pill here.. she gets very agitated when i bring other horses out to ride, she is never alone in her 12X30ish paddock, she will do a fancy trot around it screaming for them to come back.. throw in a few nasty bucks in for good measure, thus far she is not slamming herself into a slide stop spin turn so far.. I Worry so.. I HAVE to believe that she is strong enough to do the above exercise on the mill, she is strong enough to cope with this Sa$$y behavior and won't insult her bad leg.. I HAVE TO HOPE.. I am unclear till Ultrasound and talking to the vet if i can lunge her on a 20 meter circle , it will make for a more tired horse when i finally am able to get on her.. * remember two years ago she had 45 days under saddle ONLY * I will report back after her ultrasound and give you updates on our riding..!!!! On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Monday, Mar 31, 2008 - 5:34 am: Sassy ponies are so fun. Sounds like her recovery is going well. Hope the US shows healing is complete, and you can hop on the sassy pony and start riding. I bet she surprises you and does just fine. Good Luck |

Posted on Monday, Mar 31, 2008 - 7:27 am: Best of Luck, Ann! I well know what it's like getting on a horse after extended stall rest. When my mare was injured a few years back, the vet reco'd that I briefly ride her, a few minutes a day for a few days, before we turned her out for the first time, so that we could reduce the energy level and hopefully prevent re-injury. I looked at the vet...looked at my horse (who was pinging off her stall walls)...looked back at the vet and asked: "You want me to get on THAT???" And my mare was quite a bit older and did not have near the lengthy rehab as Danni. I nearly had a stroke thinking about getting back in the saddle but the vet didn't want me to longe her yet at that point.Survived sitting on a live volcano and then held my breath for a week every time she was turned out. I think the post-rehab was as stressful as the actual rehab itself. Anyway, stay safe and I hope all goes without incident. |

Posted on Saturday, Apr 5, 2008 - 10:47 pm: Case Summary: Danni presented for a re check ultrasound of her right hind deep digital flexor tendon/pastern. She was sedated with 6 mg detomindine & 6mg butorphanol ( good sedation ). The ultrasound did not show a significant change in the tendon size or pattern. The pastern region and annular ligament were also unchanged..Exercise: Please continue to increase riding at the walk by approximately 5 minutes each week up to a total of 45 -60 minutes.. You can then begin trotting 2 minutes ( primarily on the straight lines) and add 2 minutes each week.. MY Questions that i forgot to ask... Can a tendon continue to 'shrink' down to smaller size after a year and a half? Don't quote me on the size but he said a horse of her size her tendon should be around 1.9 .. hers now is 2.4 or was it 2.5? ( to much info for me at one time.. ) Can we still make progress on the size.. ? Also lunging her is out.. golly HE can ride her then.. Actually trainer has ridden her now 2 times at the walk... that was with some very light lunge / trot circle about 15 - 20 meters .. about 12 mins worth.. Danni was wonderful Vet said he would prefer us to ride her at the buckle rather then try to get her to use herself correctly... I explained to him , how trainer could feel the difference in her right and left side.. .. ribs / shoulder/ hips.. The two times she rode her she was asking Danni to bend and lengthen her right ( sore ) side / ribs back... cus you can see in order for DAnni to have shorten her stride and favor that leg for so long that side was , for lack of better words.. shorten / crunched up.. so trainer was asking for her to straighten and move correctly.. Do you think this is asking to much...? This will in turn hve her use her hind quarters more / loading .. ,, and less falling on the forehand.. ? oh she trotted out sound on the straight line for vet.. He was impressed... But i am discouraged with the report... i wanted to hear... WOW look how nice this has healed... On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Saturday, Apr 5, 2008 - 11:29 pm: WHY don't vets ever tell us what we want to hear Sounds like she is progressing slowly which is good right? I certainly don't know about how a horse feels, but finally forcing myself to stretch and uncrunch hurtmy knee like Heck, but in the long run made it much better. Just do it SLOWLY and let her tell you and of course follow the vets advice. |

Posted on Sunday, Apr 6, 2008 - 10:09 am: Ann, I'm sorry it wasn't a better report, but at least she hasn't gone backward!I'll be very curious to hear Dr. O's opinion. I have heard that horses with front limb lamenesses benefit from getting off the front end, but I have not heard this about hind limb lamenesses. Maybe he doesn't want her loading the hind end and the weight of the rider is enough? I honestly don't know. I have a western pleasure showhorse in my barn with a rear suspensory ligament injury, only a 30% tear and stem cell was done. Her vet wants the weight on her back. But only said to ensure she works over her back, not "really" load the hind end persay. I too think the stretching of "shortened" side sounds like a good idea. I wish you the best of luck and Keep Safe! |

Posted on Sunday, Apr 6, 2008 - 10:42 am: Aileen , we are not asking for a collected walk by any means.. just basically asking the mare to use her body correctly and straight, I ''think'' the clinic vet is not a rider.. He said quote "" I would rather see her ridden at the buckle like my endurance riders ""I talked to my barn vet , she said that Dr. Jack Snyder, the 3 time Olympic surgeon said that the show jumpers had larger tendons then horses of their size and were showing / jumping sound .. So for me not to give up.. She also said that the tendon still after 1.5 years can remodel and tighten .. she would be happy to see a number like 2.2 on Danni! Dr. O any words of interest here ? On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Sunday, Apr 6, 2008 - 3:35 pm: I'm sorry, I didn't mean to imply you were collecting her. Wishing the best for you both. |

Posted on Monday, Apr 7, 2008 - 12:07 pm: After 18 months healing I would not expect a lot of change. Yes the thickened fibers may become a bit more compact with remodeling but not a lot unless there is some edema that could still resolve.I would figure the horse is probably finding the best way to load the leg safely (with the most amount of comfort) Ann, so follow the veterinarians recommendations on riding. Posted on Monday, Apr 7, 2008 - 4:45 pm: Ann,As you may recall, my horse also was very very crooked when we started riding him. It took two chiro adjustments and I'm amazed at the difference. You may want to consider having a chiropractor look at Danni. Hang in there! Chris |
Member: dres |
Posted on Monday, Apr 7, 2008 - 7:28 pm: Chris, exactly my point.. All tho , in asking to move correctly I feel I am doing the chiro work on top while she is walking..I agree Dr. O this is why Danni is crooked from avoiding that leg for a solid 6 months, then asking her to load it carefully in a bigger stall / then in hand walk work.. If after 18 months the healing is to be done.. I figured we might as well correct her body while strengthening that leg.. We are not asking for collection by any means.. Just a straight forward walk with some lateral suppleing every now and again.. I will keep your advisement, and carefully watch her to see how she progresses asking her to move out correctly and even .. If I see any hesitation we will go to the buckle and back down some.. Thus far she is sound at the walk / trot on a straight line.. Haven't evaluated her on a circle yet.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Monday, Apr 7, 2008 - 8:13 pm: Dear Ann,You stated: "I HAVE TO HOPE." Yes...come what may...if you know and trust in Him...there is always hope for today and all the tomorrows. The report from the vet sounds very, very good. I'm encouraged! Warmest Regards, Tonya |

Posted on Monday, Apr 7, 2008 - 8:58 pm: Hi Ann,Well I wish the numbers were better for you. But of course good clinical results (sound horse!) trump good analytical results (measurements and x-rays) every time. So it sounds as though she is coming along very well so far. Managing her longitudinal balance under saddle sounds to me like a slow job. I think the horse will show you what she can do over time, but I wouldn't count her out yet. I think we have all known or owned horses with shocking x-rays that traveled happy and sound, and were competitive in their disciplines. So I will keep everything crossable crossed for you and your lovely young horse. |
Member: stevens |
Posted on Tuesday, Apr 8, 2008 - 10:05 am: Ann,I agree that asking her to travel straight is going to help. I found in my case that the chiro adjustments made it much easier for both the horse and rider faster than I suspect it would have been just riding him straight. I'm fortunate that the chiropractor I use is also a vet, stands about 6'7" so is tall enough to take on my 17.2 boy. The horse willingly stretches out his neck for the vet and usually sighs throughout the process. As an extra bonus, the vet is pretty easy on the eyes. You seem so in tune with Danni that I'm sure you'll know the right thing to do. Chris |

Posted on Tuesday, Apr 8, 2008 - 11:08 am: Chris, just a FYI... went to a FEI show this weekend and watched them trot out the horses for ''inspection'' , on those terms , Danni is performance sound. As she can walk / trot out sound on a STRAIGHT line too..I have done everything by the book thus far and taken the extra time for this horse, I am sure not going to push her past her limits right now.. BuT do want to strengthen her the best I can ... Tonya , yup I got and have found patience I never knew I had.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

And it is much easier on her doing that in tennis shoes... I am very please so far with Danni's progress !~ Video is a little distorted by you get the idea.. Posted on Saturday, Apr 19, 2008 - 12:49 pm: Wow Ann-- she really looks good. And she's being so good too! You must be very glad and relieved to see this kind of progress. She sure doesn't look like a pasture ornament in these videos.... |

Posted on Saturday, Apr 19, 2008 - 1:19 pm: Diane, Elizabeth.. THANK YOU ..I know we have a long ways to go.. but I just can't help but hope we will be in the show ring..Elizabeth.. I did not video tape the blow up..<smirk> there is always ONE or TWO before Lisa climbs up on her.. thus the in hand warm up.. Danni is Parelli trained and getting her mind in gear in hand is what is saving Lisa on top.. hehehe.. Its funny , she is a very high octane mare, BUT if you keep her focused there has never been a blow up under saddle .. You have to ride every stride and be aware at all times tho.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Saturday, Apr 19, 2008 - 1:22 pm: Hi Ann,Well, yeah, but well-behaved horses rarely go Grand Prix! It's a credit to everyone involved that you could get that footage at all. And her walk really looks good-- looks like that funky flip is gone, right? |
Member: dres |
Posted on Saturday, Apr 19, 2008 - 1:54 pm: funky flip is gone... all tho when she is tired ,at the end of her 25 mins under saddle she will sometimes have a wiggle in the hoof when in the air/ reach part of her stride.. I asked my barn vet about that.. she said that just might be the ''irregularity'' in her stride that the surgeons talk of.. That,,, we can live with as long as she tracks up / lands solid/ pushes off evenly.. !~ I am guessing, and Dr. O might chime in .. but i 'think' that when she severed that tendon she took out a few nerves.. I felt all along that she did not 'feel' her hoof hanging there at the end of her fetlock.... with time the nerve endings are reforming and she is gaining more feel ? Or that is my guess ...We hope to get the under saddle work out of the round pen soon... but now for safety issues... its sure nice to have.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Sunday, Apr 20, 2008 - 8:23 pm: More good news! Danni really looks great. It's remarkable how well she's done when you consider the extent of the injury. I'm delighted for you Ann. |
Member: stevens |
Posted on Monday, Apr 21, 2008 - 10:21 am: Congrats!I'd prefer to NOT video the "blow ups". Why revisit them? When I've seen video of my horse's "blow ups" they fell into 2 categories; 1: weren't as big of a deal as I thought or 2: were a big deal and tempted me to fixate on them. I say let bygones be bygones. Chris |

Posted on Monday, Apr 21, 2008 - 3:34 pm: Chris, I was going to video tape her early in her work.. but on second thought hum? Why? It will be something else I will tweak over and watch in slow mo..What I do notice is that she is still protective of that leg / side.. ex: when she does blow, I do watch how she lands she either will land pretty solid on both hind legs or she will land on the good leg first ... Also noticed when I hand graze her next to the fence... if her 'bad' side is close to the fence and my 2 year old come over to sniff she gets worried and postures to kick BUT if her good side is close to fence, she pays no attention to him at all.. Like you Chris we have come a long way... I know tho, that I have another year of this slow rehab work till I really trust I will have a performance animal.. We won't even think of trying to work her in a show frame for another year.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

WATCH OUT FOR HIGH OCTANE TO BLOW.. Gosh I hope she continues to grow stronger .. or she will be a very nice broodmare.. ..but spotless of courseOn the first day God created horses on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

It certainly seems possible that she will come back from this injury and go on to a career under saddle. I'm sure we will all send you some HA spots to dress her up. |

Posted on Sunday, Jun 1, 2008 - 1:32 am: well its been a couple months now that Danni is being rehabbed under saddle... we started out with 10 mins of walk and quickly added 5 mins walk every week... once we were at 45 mins of walk we added trot , 5 mins and have added 2 mins every week ... We are up to 9 mins this week!~I can't be more pleased how her tendon injury is healing , she is pretty solid on it .. but of course her good leg is a little glitchy at times.. at the walk she can be a little short ... at the trot somedays she has what looks like a little bit of a hop step and sometimes drags the toe a stride or two.. ... she seems to warm out of it... As a three year old I notice this exact thing on that leg... had a vet out to evaluate and x ray... Rads showed very mild changes in the hock and stifles in both legs !! but ''nothing to be concerned about'' had a surgeon.. the one that actually did her tendon a year later look at them and he was not concerned either... WELL THEN... that leg is the one that is NQR more often then the tendon leg!! Will see with time how it goes... most likely will take more rads the next time I take her in for an ultrasound ... which will be in another month to get the ok for CANTER work.. Grab some popcorn and a drink ... here is some video I took of her today... you can see her warm up walk... remember we do not lunge her at all before riding .. so you can see she is tight in the back and not swinging ... then I video taped her trot from the beginning... again she is tight all over.. as the mins go by she gets better and better till she spooks Then I made a video of her cool down walk when she is loose and swinging... I might have my performance horse ... I just might.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZtVDbn0pxk =warm up walk .. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bq7lZEWf98g =cool down walk.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZRFZYd7Zs3o = 9 mins of trot.. Posted on Sunday, Jun 1, 2008 - 2:22 pm: Hang in there Ann; it's a long road back.I wouldn't be surprised if her good leg took alot of load during her injury/rehab so it may indeed be sore now and again. I'm buying Sore-No-More in bulk these days using before (when I remember) and after Lacoste's workout. |

Posted on Sunday, Jun 1, 2008 - 4:38 pm: Diane ,yup i can't wipe the smile off my face when i ride her.... soft and so easy.. Chris boy i do know.. i figure another 9 months to really know...Talked to my barn vet... she said she does not really see a change in Danni's left hind after the warm up and suggested lower hock injections.. I will explore this all at the nex ultrasound and now x ray visit.. Smiling in NorCal.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |
Member: dres |
Posted on Friday, Jun 27, 2008 - 5:57 pm: Back from our Ultrasound and X ray clinic visit:''Danni presented to LBEMC for a re check ultrasound evaluation of her right hindlimb.. The overall size and fiber pattern had improved in the upper injury. It still remains enlarged overall however. The lower injury ( pastern region) remains unchanged in size or pattern, but has not returned to normal. We took x rays of both hocks to re check previous x rays that had showed arthritis on both sides.. The new x rays confirmed this change, but we do not yet have the old x ryas to evaluate the change. We did inject the lower hock joints with a steroid, amikacin ( anitiboitoc ) and Hylartin V. She has not BQR since she re arranged her paddock two weeks ago.. I came out to her paddock a zig zag shape and not a nice oblong She was not limping per say but very stiff when i got her out.. hard to really tell what was going on.. .. Her new MO is not wanting to go forward in the trot.. ? Danni has always been a very forward thinking mare... Trainer does not feel its a training challenge but that she is telling us something is hurting .... She has become slightly short both hind legs now ? after about 30 mins of walking she does seem to be less stiff , but still does not want to trot.. So we have not asked her to in the past week and a half.. Now that i know for sure that her tendon has not been compromised by her panel pulling .. i guess i will start back slowly and let her tell us when she is ready to start trotting again ? I was so hoping to be adding Canter to her program now.. Maybe with the hock injections she will begin to feel better before the pipe panel deal she was moving pretty nicely all tho short on her good side in the beginning.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Friday, Jun 27, 2008 - 6:44 pm: What a bummer Ann. You're absolutely doing the right thing in backing off.I don't remember what supplements Danni is getting, but you may want to consider adding something like yucca. Since Lacoste's last "episode", I've been giving him yucca and icing his leg after every ride (at the waaaaallllkkkk). He's putting weight on it again and there's no swelling. Hang in there; you're in my thoughts. Chris |
Member: dres |
Posted on Friday, Jun 27, 2008 - 7:43 pm: Yucca? I thought that was for tummy aches?? Danni is on Adequan every 3 weeks..Glucosamine HCL 15,000 mg ChonDrOitin Sulfate 2,000 mgMSM (OptiMSMĀ®) 10 grams (10,000 mg) Vitamin C 4,500 mg daily.. Like you I ice after every ride, she gets over all body massage while icing.. * i want to be her* I am hoping that this is just a bump in the road, as her tendon IS on the mend.. It is just so frustrating that they can verbalize where they hurt.. I guess just listening to the body language and knowing how your horse behaves is 'telling' enough.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Friday, Jun 27, 2008 - 8:46 pm: Ann I don't understand all the medical jargon, but it does sound like there is some improvement?Sounds like you are doing about all you can. She could be muscle sore if she got stuck in the gates. It's so hard with a rehab horse to decide if it's a training issue and we know they all have them! But there is no way to test it. You know the horse and that's all you can go by. Hope it's just a small bump in the road. |

Posted on Saturday, Jun 28, 2008 - 8:52 am: Ann review our article on Adequan and PSGAG's for efficacy evaluation. It seems to me a expensive "experimental" drug despite the common and labeled use for IM.DrO |
Member: dres |
Posted on Saturday, Jun 28, 2008 - 9:37 am: Yes, I will agree it is expensive.. and the jury is still out.. With my other mare that has bursitis of the shoulder I know it helps her, I can feel her getting stiff on her left side prior to the 3 week period.. Yes that is subjective evidence.. I just hate to change what appears to be working.. !~On a different note.. out to feed this early AM and Danni trotted to her gate with the grace and elegance I know she possesses... Of course it was only 5 strides but it did my heart good this early AM.. !~ On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Saturday, Jun 28, 2008 - 9:11 pm: Yucca is another bute alternative. I don't really know if it's helping, but with Lacoste's history of ulcers, I'm not going to take a chance with buting him on a long term basis. At any rate, I like the way the Yucca smells. One day at a time. I was at the selection trials today and during Rocher's go, Hilda Gurney was saying how long it takes for a horse to recover from any kind of tendon injury, if they recover at all. oooooommmmmmm. Posted on Thursday, Jul 17, 2008 - 10:19 pm: A happy note, the lower hock joint injections have really helped out.. As of today Danni is moving out SOUND at the walk/ trot / AND we introduced canter today!~ She offered so i took it.. just a few strides down the long side.. balanced and even.. So asked her going the other way.. she picked it up once again / wrong lead .. but I am not concern about that.. IT WAS BALANCED.. I was not going to start canter work till the first of Aug. but she offered it and it felt wonderful.. I won't over due .. will only take it if she offers right now and will only let her do a few strides a day .. BUT YAHOOOO..Will get some new video in the next few days.. I feel it is a balance and strength issue right now.. So I am not overly concern about that at all. This is the 3rd time she has been allowed to cantered in 2 YEARS.. Diane, had her hocks injected the last ultrasound less then a month ago.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Saturday, Jul 19, 2008 - 9:32 am: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=14LYx-i2aA0&feature=userOMG Ann she looks so good for everything she's been through, she seemed to work out of the LR "stiffness" as the video went on. CONGRATS!!! |
Member: dres |
Posted on Saturday, Jul 19, 2008 - 10:09 am: Thanks Diane, How did you make the URL small.. ?I can't wait for my lesson today on her.. that is my trainer riding her, i do all video and photo taking around here.. Lisa has done a wonderful job helping me rehab her under saddle and also starting her training .. she had only 45 days under saddle before her accident, but we had done extensive ground training with her prior to sitting on her.. She does appear to warm out of some of the stiffness and what we notice as well is after the first trot work , the next starts up nicer and less 'stiff' .. we get on her cold backed and walk for 20 mins before we ask anything of her.. I know some of my horses actually warm up better at the canter then any other way.. I won't ask for much more then that amount of canter for a couple of weeks.. slow and easy wins the race.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots. |

Posted on Saturday, Jul 19, 2008 - 10:29 am: I went up in your post to the other you tube links, then clicked on the canter one in your album, then copied that url.I had to watch it again (it's crappy out again) and it is just awesome how far she has come. Do you get to try a short canter in your lesson today? Yes slow don't want to undo all of the good you have done |

Posted on Monday, Jul 21, 2008 - 5:54 pm: Dear Ann,I'll give that performance a five star rating! And another to you, and (hope you don't mind me saying) all who give extraordinary effort to help their companion succeed...in one way or another. She moves very well, and seems to really like the challenge. What type of fly mask do you have on, Danni? Does, she keep it on during the day? My Congratulations...and Very Best. Tonya |

Posted on Saturday, Aug 30, 2008 - 8:27 pm: Tonya I find it easier to put the riding fly mask on then spraying my hands to cover their face .. My neighbor has ponies right up against the boundaries and well , we have flies..All my horses wear fly masks during the day.. cuts back dust /flies and many eye problems becus of it.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gir918tWJe0 video is slightly distorted she really is not a sausage! Ok for your viewing pleasure again.. Danni today, we have Walk/ Trot/Canter and shoulder fore to the beginnings of a trot lengthening.. I have a ultrasound appointment next week to see if there has been any more tightening of the tendon .. and to make sure the Vets don't think we are pushing her to fast.. after all its been two years Oct 27th. 11:30 PM .. IF all is a go , Show this Nov. and hoping for First level tst 1!~ ** its her right hind ** <smirk> On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Saturday, Sep 6, 2008 - 7:34 pm: DAnni and i went in for an ultrasound... to see how the Canter work was doing for her..Vet looked at the video I gave him of her W/ T / C ... he was VERY impressed with the improvement since the last visit.. and hock injections... he said if he were watching this for a vet check.. he would give two thumbs up and say lets continue on with the vetting.. !!~ Then we walked and trotted her around the clinic... SOUND / SOUND / / SOUND... Ultrasound is showing still improvement in the upper bow... lower severed tendon is scar tissue but healthy good fiber pattern tissue and no apparent adhesions.. .. He said to continue asking more of her now.. we can do Canter 20 meter circles now... AND no more ultrasound unless other wise needed!~ in other words... A CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH.. .. wahoooo .. next report either a clinic on her or her first SHOW... On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 - 11:05 am: Show day has come and gone... first off , I scratched the USDF CDI show.. I panicked with all the rain we got in the beginning of the month and did not want to scratch late with no return of the big money BUT , found a local schooling show with a credited L judge .. Took Danni to this...She was such a good mare .. no lunging , trainer on at the trailer.. lots of fun things to see and be weary of , she handled it all so well.. baby strollers / banners / balloons / mules / donkeys .. Anyway.. Judges comment: Beautiful horse with GOOD FUTURE ! if she only knew where we came from!! Danni received 8's on her gaits! Wonderful comments on her balanced up hill canter .. I think I have my show horse ... ** the footing was deeper then she is used to, trainer could feel her bog down slightly but adjusted well.. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |

Posted on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 - 6:25 pm: YAHOO!!!!!!!!!! So what went through your head as you rode down centerline? What a journey.Hey-- we want pictures of her all braided in her bridle tag! |
Member: dres |
Posted on Monday, Nov 17, 2008 - 6:43 pm: What went thru my head? Holly cow.. what if she takes a mis step/ trips / spins / bolts? I worried the whole day ... I have to get the last 2 years out of my head now and ENJOY her... No pictures/ no braids.. it was a very low key schooling show.. AND had to be done on a short court.. now that was challenging.. trainer never rode a short court.. and things come up really fast on a tall ground covering horse..!~I am now dreaming of May.. it will be a big 3 day show.. still sitting on cloud 9 .. On the first day God created horses, on the second day he painted them with spots.. |
