Hi Dr. O,

Is it safe for a cushings horse to receive hock injections. I heard steroids are bad for cushings horses.

Thanks,

Marcy

Hello M,
IA steroids is really a "local" treatment and though it does cause a rise in blood levels the amount so small and the injections so infrequent that if there is any risk of potentiating the Cushings or related founder it would be very small.
