I have a 14 year old TB/Clyde cross he is a little on the heavy side. Last year and again this fall he suddenly develops a fever, short of breath and fast heart rate. Vet put him on a course of antibiotics and blood work recent blood work
Alkaline Phosphatase 282 (high)
CPK (high)
LDH(high)
RBC ( low)
everything else normal he seemed to be better but on the last ride he was breathing shallow and quick and seemed tired This seems to be showing up in the fall he has been vaccinated and wormed any help would be appreciated

Welcome carolyn,
How high is the fever, what is the heart rate, and and what was the course of the disease last year and this year? Concerning your lab work I would need all the numbers, the units, and the labs normal ranges.
