Am curious to know, how long does it take for a horse with moldy corn poisoning to show symptoms? Could a horse be fed contaminated feed 6-8 mos before showing any symptoms, or does it happen rapidly after the feed is consumed?

Thanks!

CC I've seen one horse in my lifetime with MCP and she was dead with in 48hrs, with exactly the symptoms in the article. Very scary to watch...wasn't my horse.

How fast symptoms develop will depend on the amount fed CC but in general most cases will be like Diane describes, very quickly.
