I have just learned of this disease Dr. O..My questions are , is there a horse that is more predisposed to it .. I have ''heard'' that Freisians are , is this true..And breeding a maiden mare what would make you think to do the blood test to see if she had the factor?
Always something more to learn ..

On the first day God created horses , on the second day he painted them with spots..

Hello Ann,
Though possible I have not heard of a predisposition of Freisians to this disease.

This is a complicated disease to understand so I have edited it and included an example that should clarify this disease and answer your questions Ann. The article also gives references where the testing is done. If after studying it you still have questions, bring them back here.
