We have a 14 year old TB gelding on the yard newly diagnosed with DSLD in hind legs and retired from ridden work.
As he also has DJD in both hocks could you advise if walking in hand should continue and if so could include a little hill work? His own vet is a little hard to contact.
(This is the half brother to my loan mare whose ultrasound you kindly explained.)
Thanks
Marise

Hell Marise,
to answer your questions about this horse requires an examination. In general however I would not recommend hill work for DSLD horses. It places quite a bit of strain on weak tissues that do not repair well.
