Dr. O, One of my rescue fillies has a fairly deep laceration on her forearm. It was very fresh when I got her and I had my vet out to suture it, internally and externally. That lasted less than three days and she opened it entirely. I have been hosing it and following your instructions. She is on three SMZ's twice daily. To keep it clean I have resorted to hosing it up to three times a day just long enough to remove the accumulated debris. Is that OK or will I impede the healing by that frequency? I have a second question regarding this filly that I will post under a more appropriate topic. I can get a picture up if necessary, it's already smaller but still thickened around the edges. Thanks, Julie

No I don't think you will injure the wound further with 3 times daily hosing Julie.
