A few people have asked about soft-ride boots (myself included) and I just wanted to throw out there that we bought them for this laminitis episode and they have worked extremely well. Myriah (yes, she has had another episode, kept it from going acute so far, starting pergolide next week) literally walked off in them like she didn't have a care in the world. Clearly relieved a lot of discomfort immediately. Was able to cut her bute by half and still have her happier than she was on the high dose. She has the laminitis inserts and is wearing them straight on top of her shoes and pads.

Just my experience, thought others might be curious.
