Would you expect an 8 yr old horse with a chip removed from the coffin bone ( unknown cause), to recover fully with no long term effects? Or would it depend on where the chip occurred, like with coffin bone fractures as mentioned in the article? at this time it is unknown as to the location of the chip. Horse is fully sound at this time.

thanks

Right Mel,
It would depend on the factors as described in the prognosis section of the article.
