What is the youngest you have seen heaves and copd in horses?

I have a 4 year old with a chronic cough that I am taking to the vet today, and I have prepared myself with the relevant articles. I have only heard of older horses with these illnesses but was just curious if it is prevelent in younger horses also.

Though the incidence increases as horses get older young horses can develop the problem with enough exposure to the allergin.
