I have a friend whose horse bowed her tendon. It is the second time she has done it. The first time, they did a surgery, and after 9 months, she was ridable as good as new. This time, they injected it with A-Cell. Apparently, the Dr told her she could turn the horse out for 4 hours a day, so long as she doesn't run. After the A-Cell, and the 4 hours of turnout, the leg is swollen like a tree trunk, just the whole lower leg..... Is the A-Cell treatment doing this? Or turning a horse out with a bowed tendon, even if they do not run?

Hello Cindy, we avoid doing advice 3rd hand for several reasons. - 1. I find even second hand advice very tricky: almost everyday I speak with a client on the telephone then get to go out and see what is actually going on. Often as not the situation is much different than described. This is usually because of the owner not knowing what to look for or not having the vocabulary to accurately describe the problem.
- 2. There is a limited amount of time I have to answer questions. Pursuing some non-members cases in the past has taken significantly away from member's services. You are welcome to print out relevant articles and give them to your friend and members who wish to comment on this are welcome to.
I do give you this advice, we cannot know from your post the answer to your questions. They will take a thorough exam and should be done quickly. DrO
