I have a Gelding that is 20 yrs old and has started to urinate a milky yellowish color, and it is thick at times. He did become a little dehydrate a few days a ago, but also he has not been drinking that much this summer. I have increased his electrolytes per Vet. He is never shown any issue with holding his weight and no signs of lost appetite or fever, normal alertness and stamina. No real problem urinating full extension of the pennies and grunts of forcing the process, but does not urinate as much as the others do.
Equine Vets are not very prevalent in my area, the question is what should I be concerned with to insure that this not an infection type of a problem, and is anything else I should or can do in them meantime?
