The arrow shows a bone growth on the distal lateral aspect of the central tarsal bone. Is this a normal finding in your opinion?

I found this in my text book which says lameness was improved by injection of the tarsometatarsal joint and a similar finding was pointed out (white arrow). Are they the same you think? The horse in the book is 7yo and the horse in the first image is 3yo.

What is the positioning in the first shot d-p or p-d? This does not have characteristics of a osteophyte and looks more like the superimposition of the joint space over the c.t. bone. Before making any judgements I would like to see the other standard views. I really cannot see the second shot well. DrO

Left Tarsus DP You are correct DrO it does not look like an osteophyte at least yet. Maybe like a side bone or a lip or something. In your opinion do you think it could become active and turn into osteophyte in the future? Thank you

The second shot is small, I know. When I resized it to 64KB (max allowed), it became really small. But to make it show bigger in the browser, I hold the Ctrl button and scroll up with the scroll knob on my mouse. That may help

I don't make predictions of that sort Nader however you have not read my response well: it looks like a artifact not a real lesion. DrO
