Hello Wendy,
I am afraid until a professional can see a horse do it you will have to keep guessing. Lameness, muscle weakness, and neurological problems could all create a wobbling feeling from above. Perhaps you could start video taping your work and then find the segments that are pertinent and have them reviewed by a vet or trainer.

I have a client with a walker who has recently been diagnosed with navicular disease. She is driving me crazy. She reads an article and changes his regimen every week. Today it had rained and was very cold so I brought him into his stall because he was not moving around outside due to the cold. I felt it would be better on him to be comfortable and he would move about in his stall. Was I wrong? I didn't think it would be good for him to just stand in the paddock and shiver. I understand how she must feel and that she has not yet come to terms with the diagnosis but enough is enough. I love this horse also since I am the one who cares for him and gives him his meds daily for his problem. I was only thinking of the horse and she acts as though I did something to harm him. Please advise a barn manager who is about to pull her hair out.
Thank you for any suggestions.
