I do have some fescue in the pasture in which my bred mare will be grazing. How can I get rid of the fescue completely?

We have an article on Fesuce Toxicity under Equine Diseases: Reproductive Diseases: Birthing Problems.

Instead of getting rid of the fescue, talk to your vet about Domperidone - I believe it's proving to be very effective in offsetting the ill effects of the fescue endophytes on the pregnant mare.

Dr. Oglesby, How do you feel about using Domperidone on pregnant mares, when should it be used?

We have a discussion on Domperidone at: The Horseman's Advisor: Equine Diseases: Reproductive Diseases: Birthing Problems: Fescue
Toxicity.
